We had the good fortune of connecting with Lacy Puckett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lacy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When my youngest daughter was around three months old, she developed eczema, and we were advised that bamboo clothing would be gentle on her sensitive skin. We tried several brands, each with its own strengths, but none felt quite right. That’s when I decided to dig deeper into the business side of things, and ultimately, I made the bold choice to start our own brand.

My vision was simple: to offer stylish, matching daywear and pajamas for the entire family. I personally design each of our prints, ensuring they are unique to our brand and reflect our values. Giving back is at the heart of what we do. To date, we’ve launched three prints that support charitable causes: one for Alex’s Lemonade Stand to raise awareness for childhood cancer, one for the American Cancer Society to raise cancer awareness, and another for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children battling critical illnesses.

Our mission is to share God’s love through our business while making a positive impact on our community. We are committed to providing luxuriously soft, beautifully styled clothing that families can wear together, from cozy pajamas to everyday daywear.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe that what sets my brand apart is the fact that I personally design some of the styles and a majority of the prints. I take great care in packaging every order and ensure that each one includes a handwritten note from me. Our growth has primarily come through word of mouth—thanks to friends in our BNI group, friends in our WIN group, brand representatives, and customers who have tried our products. Starting a business from the ground up has certainly not been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve learned so much along the way. God has been with us from day one and continues to guide our steps. I’m excited about what the future holds.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely take our children to the Riverbanks Botanical Garden and Zoo. A visit to the Christmas lights at Saluda Shoals Park would be a must. Frankie’s Fun Park would also be on the list for laser tag, go-karts, and mini golf. Virginia Hylton Park would be perfect for a leisurely morning. For breakfast, we’d stop at Eggs Up Grill, Sully’s Steamers, or O’Hara’s Bakery Café. One day, we’d have lunch at Diablo’s Southwest Grill. I’d also order a charcuterie board from Carolina Charcuterie Company to enjoy. Tony always adds a personal touch to each board, and I know it would be a hit! We’d build a bonfire and roast marshmallows for s’mores. A few dinner spots we’d visit include Private Property and Bone Appétit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize Virginia Gates, the owner of Floor Pro and Lakeside Soap Company, for being a supportive friend who always has an encouraging word and uplifting guidance to offer. Despite everything she has gone through over the years, Virginia makes time for her friends within her busy schedule. She is an inspiration to many through her hard work and dedication.
