We had the good fortune of connecting with James “Eli” Moorman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi James “Eli”, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
Im from a small town called Gilbert, South Carolina. Bored and raised, coming from a small town of 700 strongly impacted my musical career. I started choir in school in 3rd grade till 8th grade and started my own thing ever since

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up it wasn’t easy but music inspired me to be who I am today. A lot of my challenges were not easy. Drug addiction and homelessness runs in my family and so many other things and my life was no where near perfect to me, but those lessons grew me into the person that I am today. Eliii

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to say my favorite places in the city, jays bar and grill for the best food and drinks plus the fun and atmosphere, the river walk is always amazing to check out and never fails! I also enjoy Laboo’s Celebrity Catering and the local spots to eat such as The Toasty Hot Spot, Groucho’s, Food Trucks & Plenty Tacos!!!!
