We had the good fortune of connecting with Chaz Williams Sr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chaz, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I decided that I wanted more for myself. I had been selling Solar for one of the top companies in the country, and just wanted to explore other options. I’ve always been a person that marches to the best of my own drum. Now I can do that all the time.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It took 5 years to get where we are now and we have a long way to go. Honestly this is just the beginning! It was extremely hard, especially being in the legal cannabis industry. We had to partner with like-minded people to keep moving the needle forward. Major lesson I learned was to keep pushing forward no matter what. Lookout for others and in return, they will lookout for you. One thing I want people to know about our brand is that we’re creating sustainable solutions. AgriShield is on a mission to create a sustainable economy and industry for America. We have this great opportunity to be a part of a new industrial revolution. Doesn’t get much better than that!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The good thing is South Carolina is so small so e can teach a lot of places. I’m based in Greenville, but I was raised in the low country in Branchville. In Greenville, we’re definitely going to Herbal Farmecy to grab a bite and go to beautiful downtown Greenville. There are so many options down there and the waterfall downtown is spectacular. I’m a low country guy, but this place has its perks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother…. my mom passed away going on 9 years, and she is the single most factor that has driven me to this point. She keeps me focused even while not here physically. She keeps me confident too. I miss her life everyday.
