We had the good fortune of connecting with Carrie Rosen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carrie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always tried to live up to the goals I’ve set for myself. When I first started Real Estate, I bought a car I couldn’t afford at the time because I needed to look the part if I wanted to play it and I also needed a reliable car. Within that year, Not only was I able to afford it, I traded it in for a brand new car! When I bought my house (oceanfront), there was no way I could afford it and I was even turned down by 5 lenders. I found one that entrusted me and within a year, we were living our dream on the ocean.
If you don’t take risks, you don’t reap the rewards!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Real Estate Business has grown exponentially over the years. I like to think that I set myself apart from others by being very assertive and fierce when it comes to negotiations. I really love helping to resolve some of the issues that arise from Real Estate Transactions. It was not easy to learn the business, it was a hard 5 years bartending and learning a new career while raising 2 precious kids. I learned that not everything is set in stone. Don’t spend the money before you make it. Real Estate is a constant roller coaster with highs and lows.

I would love for people to know that through hard work and perseverance, you can accomplish anything.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Best time ever?? Tall order.

Monday: Hang around the beach, go for a walk on the pier, grab breakfast at Lost Dog, a drink at our new bar Revelry Brewing Company. Maybe a golf cart ride and then Dinner at Jack of Cups.
Tuesday: Wake up, go to lighthouse area of the beach, walk around, take in the sights. For lunch, Baguette Magic on James Island, on the way to the Angel Oak on Johns Island for a few pictures. On the way back, Wild Olive on Johns Island for a dinner/drink combo
Wednesday: Breakfast at Dead Low on Folly, then head downtown for a stroll down Market, lunch would be dependent on whats the busiest, maybe Millers All Day? Then a walk along the battery and a drink at Vendue Inn.
Thursday: A Boat Ride!! Maybe lunch on Shem Creek? Back to Folly to clean the boat and a drink at Sunset Cay Marina, then dinner at the house with my specialty
Friday: Breakfast at Ritas, then downtown for a carriage ride and maybe a historical tour downtown with my husband as the tour guide. Dinner at Stellas.

What a week!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are 2 of my former brokers that really trusted me and had faith in me, when I listened to their advice, my career boosted!
