We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Chapman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I’m a big believer in staying organized and implementing time blocking. I find these 2 things greatly benefit me as a Real Estate Agent. By staying organized and having a clear plan, I find I can prioritize tasks effectively while also optimizing my workflow. Time blocking allows me to allocate dedicated time slots for specific activities, like appointments, meetings, dinner plans, and gym workouts. I find by having a structured schedule in place, I minimize the chances of feeling overwhelmed. Time blocking comes in handy again since it allows for me to have better time management, which then leads to a sense of control over my day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I find that being a Real Estate Agent isn’t just a career in my case – it’s a passion! I absolutely love helping my clients find their dream home. Being able to witness that moment when my client’s step through the front door of “the one” and witnessing the pure joy on their face – well, it’s priceless! I pride myself in building lasting relationships with my clients and being a part of their real estate journey. Then there’s the constant learning and staying up to date with market trends and industry insights. On top of negotiating deals and securing the best outcomes possible for my clients. I will say, being in the Real Estate industry has it’s ups and downs. There’s definitely good days and bad days. But I truly love being able to make a positive impact with those I work with. Especially when it comes to turning houses into homes.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There is so much to see and do in Savannah! Anyone visiting has to explore the city’s historic district and stroll along the iconic River Street. Guided tours are one of the best ways to learn about the city’s role in American history. And every corner you turn you’ll be able to see the well-preserved architecture and historic landmarks. I absolutely love that downtown Savannah is a very walkable city. From the picturesque squares, the moss draped oak trees, cobblestone streets, and those infamous stairs, one could easily spend an entire day just going for a stroll. On Saturdays Forsyth Park is an absolute must visit for its Farmers Market. Every Saturday they have close to 35 vendors offering fresh produce, local honey, baked goods, and more! It should go without saying that Food Lovers will enjoy Savannah’s vibrant culinary scene. An ideal day of eating in Savannah would look like this: Brunch at Churchill’s. Their brunchboard and bottomless Mimosas are the best! Lunch at Little Duck Diner. My favorite part about dining here is the miniature rubber ducky they put in your drinks. A quick stop to Bar Julian. This rooftob bar has some of the best views and serves incredible cocktails. The historic 17Hundred90 Inn and Restaurant is the perfect place for dinner. Not to mention the food is delicious and their service is excellent. Then for anyone who loves the nightlife they have to check out Electric Moon. You’ll get the best views of the river from this rooftop bar and lounge. And I can’t leave out the multiple speakeasies throughout downtown Savannah. My personal favorite is Alley Cat Lounge. Then just a short drive from downtown Savannah is Tybee Island. Tybee is a colorful beach town where you can shop for souvenirs, go swimming and sunbathing, and of course grab an ice cold drink at the Pier.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends’ support has greatly influenced the person I am today. They truly have made a huge difference in my journey. Their belief in me, guidance, and assistance has 100% shaped who I am. I am so incredibly thankful for their unwavering support and encouragement which definitely contributed to my achievements. I hope they know that their belief in me -even when I didn’t believe in myself – was instrumental in me reaching my goals.
