We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Nicole Simpkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie Nicole, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Being consistent, always being a student, and developing time management skills for sure!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Creating custom accessories, styling clients, personal shopping; it’s all art to me. It takes vision to be able to see what doesn’t yet exist, offer your ideas to clients, and lastly, convince them to accept your vision as a truth. I create trust with my customers/clients. At the end of they day, relationships are what it’s all about.
I am very proud of the connections I’ve made in my community and the ways I’ve been able to give back.
Entreprenuership is not easy at all but if it’s in you, passion drives you to make it work! I’ve learned along the way to be patient, to trust my gut and to ask for help when I really need it.
I want the world to know that I am aware that fashion is very subjective, but I believe that I offer my customers more than a simple means of expression.
I am an experience.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In this area, we would stay low key. We’d go to North Augusta’s SRP Park, enjoy Brinkley’s Chop house for food and then drinks at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. We’d spend another night enjoying Live music outside on the patio at the Feed Sack in Aiken, SC. I’ve met some interesting people in both of these locations. I’d probably need some desert from Vance’s Bakery Bar down town Augusta, GA at some point during this week too.
The remainder of the trip would be spent relaxing and laughing at home with family/friends which is what we do best!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My sister, Tiffany Bynem, deserves a HUGE SHOUTOUT for supporting my endeavors, creating my website, designing flyers, traveling to events, listening to all my ideas, shopping against her will…I could go on for days. Seriously, her willingness to give of herself to help me reach my goals means more than these words could ever express.
She’s the celebrity! (inside joke)
