We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Kibler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My daughter recently joined her high school dance team and one of the things they need to do is tan before performances and competitions. I thought I bet I can learn how to spray tan and share that with the community. I went one step further and thought I would make it a mobile business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
On The Glow Charleston is still a newer business with so much more growth to look forward to in the future. I offer a mobile spray tan service to make the experience more convenient for the client. What is better than not having to leave your home? I bring highly rated spray tan solutions and all of my equipment and set it up in the comfort of your home. I also do group tans for bridal parties, bachelorette parties and prom parties and offer a discount for groups.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live on Daniel Island so one of the first things we would do is eat at Sermets Courtyard and take her to a concert at Credit One Stadium. If it was Christmas time I would take her Ice Skating there and sit around the fire. How fun to say you’ve been ice skating in Charleston!?
Another day I would take her To Sullivan’s to the beach and make sure we would get a Frose from Co-Op. We would grab lunch at Poe’s and also make sure to stop by HomeTeam for a game Changer. We of course would have to shop on King Street and stop for drinks on the rooftop at Hotel Bennett and Ritual.
I love the Cabana at the Daniel Island Club so I would make sure we visit there for lunch. If it’s hot, we will jump in the pool!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Kyle, who has supported my business decisions from the second we got married. He has supported me in business for over 20 years! I also own a dance studio in Ohio that was established in 2004.
