We had the good fortune of connecting with Neferterria Guinyard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Neferterria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was beginning to execute the ideas that they had been sitting on for a while. I first thought about the pros and cons that I saw my parents go through with everyday living growing up and I knew that since Iam a mother of a lovely 10 year old I had to implicate that as well with the ideas that I had. Although my mother and father did it together I knew I would have to do it alone so I had to come up with a business plan and strategy to make sure that it would work for us

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a young girl I always knew that I was destined for greatness but didn’t know exactly what and how I was going to do things. I went to a college at 18 years old called South Carolina state University but I didn’t graduate due to my mother being ill and I dropped out to relocate to be closer to her. I was majoring in business management but in the process of life I always knew that management and being an inspiration to others was something that I felt called to do. I have been a hard worker in corporate America since the age 15 and even my supervisors told me that they knew I was going to be something great one day. During the pandemic i had a shift in my perspective where I wanted to step out on faith and try something new for a change because I was tired of doing the same thing day in and out. So after working the plant life and virtual call center life I knew I gained enough skill sets to be able to navigate through entrepreneurship just by what I learned from my previous jobs. I learned how to treat employees based off how I was treated and how I wanted to be treated. I learned how to properly communicate with clients through telecommunications. Iam proud to say that I have started a new journey where I have an umbrella company called Global solutions enterprises. My main goal with my umbrella company is to share my knowledge and skills sets with others to help them become what it is that they desire and to help them get back on track if they have already started. This was not easy after a failed marriage and having to salvage my previous business because of it but I did not let that hold me back instead I implemented all that I learned from networking with others and the skills I encountered to start something new today. Currently, I offer tax preparation services, book keeping services for business owners (sole proprietors, LLC’s, S-Corp & C-Corps) establishing business credit, repairing personal credit, and how to properly structure your business so that you can receive proper business funding from government grants, loans, and banking products. I also was a spiritual advisor at one point but I realized that my wisdom alone is something that others needed through encouragement for everyday living. So that’s where I decided to start a podcast series called The Power of She where I go into details about my spiritual journey and how it has significantly impacted me on my new journey. Previously I had a trucking company with my ex husband where I was dispatching and teaching others the ropes for the trucking industry but like I said previously I had to salvage it during the divorce but I held onto the knowledge that I learned to still help others today where Iam currently in the process of launching an ebook to help others that are interested in having their own trucking company where I also will give guidance and assistance to help others establish what’s needed to have a successful trucking company. That is the main reason why I have a umbrella company because I don’t just do one thing. I’m something like a one stop shop but if I can not assist with something I’m pretty sure I know someone that can. Some lessons that I learned along the way is to don’t stop. Everyday is not going to be a good day but you have to remember the plan and to keep striving. I also had to learn better money management skills because although you may not make money every day you have to set aside for rainy days. I also learned that your friends and people that you already know is not going to be your targeted audience. Although Iam very grateful to say that I have supportive friends and some clients that have become very good colleagues that doesn’t always normally happen that way. Lastly, networking is going to be your best friend and if I can do it you can most definitely do whatever it is that you put your mind to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to a winery called city scape winery. I would also take her to the woodhouse spa to relax and unwind. I would also go on a nature trail to hike and meditate by the waterfall to relax afterwards. I like to travel so I do not stay put in one spot for to long so we probably would hit the road and go to Charlotte nc, Atlanta ga or Charleston sc since it’s close in drive to have a night out on the town as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout out to my father Eddie Guinyard and my deceased mother Mary Guinyard. I learned alot about business from them both and they both always said they saw me having my own businesses and encouraging me to do so.
