We had the good fortune of connecting with Mossiah Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mossiah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Music has always been my first love, so I knew I wanted to pursue a career in music but the State I was born in wasn’t known for propelling any artists or musicians to stardom. Nevertheless I felt that my contributions as an individual who loves music but not performing ie singing, rapping, dancing, making beats, etc. I wanted to bring the business side of music to the market, thus birthing my dream company V12 Worldwide.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For years I struggled with my title, I didn’t feel “entrepreneur” or “businessman” was fitting enough for what I did. I did way more than just handle business, every business I handled the marketing, branding, promotions, organized events, came up with dope concepts and visuals to accompany them, even decorated every business from clubs, to restaurants and music studios. All of which brought me to the conclusion that I am too an “Artist” just not one in the traditional sense. My journey was indeed an uphill battle, forming a music entertainment company in a city that was not known or respected for music, was not a “brilliant” business model to say the least. Nevertheless I believed totally in my vision and just needed a few good hands to help build the business. The most important part of the journey was the understanding that this was indeed a ‘journey” and I would be faced with some obstacles along the way. That’s why its important to really “believe” in what you are doing and be willing to go “All-In” for this venture. I’ve lost it ALL on 3 separate occasions on this path but each time I was down and out, I would have no other choice but to look towards The Higher Power for strength and guidance and every time I came out better than before. I recognize the decay in the current main stream music industry and decided to not complain but do something to combat against this. I always said, “If you want to see change then the change starts with you”, so I made a commitment to focus on promoting only positive and inspirational music, volunteer and mentor at some nearby Correctional Institutions and sponsor community service programs and events. I want to do as much good as possible and want my brand to be associated with “Positivity”, Professionalism and Passion”! V12 Worldwide is committed to being a “Beacon of Light” during our darkest days.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
