Hi Mellisa, what do you attribute your success to?
My family and god without a doubt! They have inspired me, kept me going on the days I wanted to quit and gave me the power to just be good to people.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m so excited to continue growing and making my clients happy. Seeing messages, “I love my photos thank you so much!” Just makes everything very much worth it. A lot of hard work, late nights, longs days, hot summers and not giving up. I’ve leaned a lot of lessons along the way balancing home life, work life, unhappy clients, happy clients, mistakes in scheduling.

My brand will always be affordable photography. I want the world to know that you can have beautiful photos for any occasion with an affordable price tag.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t think I have enough space for all the amazing places in Charleston. My first spot would be downtown Charleston, walking the streets and taking in all the beautiful buildings. Union and church (Also have amazing drinks, Halls, Magnolias. Visiting the plantations, enjoy the boats at Cypress gardens. Mount pleasant for all the beautiful views and watching dolphins at Schem Creek.

Gregory Corn, Liberty Callow, and Jude Callow. I can’t forget my poodle Tyrion
