We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayissa Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayissa, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think about taking risks by evaluating and estimating the ending result. I personally feel like “the greater the risk, the greater the reward!” I don’t want to feel like I missed out on my blessing because I didn’t have enough faith to the work that needed to be done in order to receive it! Risk taking has gotten me further than my doubts would’ve.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been a clothing boutique owner since 2019. Over the years I’ve educated myself on business side of business via different educational studies. While running a clothing boutique I began to hear more about business credit and how sometimes even though you have business credit you’d need personal credit to stand on. That bought me to my passion for financial structure and stability as a whole and soon after I decided to pursue credit repair. What I’m most excited about within myself is my resiliency. I’m able to bounce back from anything & keep going! I think that has gotten me way further than I could’ve been. It has not been easy running a business but staying strong, confident, prayerful & powerful has kept my head in the game! I’ve learned lots of lessons along the way but the biggest one is that no matter what protect your costumers & protect your brand. I want the world to know that I’m just now getting started. I know there’s a spot at the top secured for me, I just have to work to get there!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend coming to visit the city for about a week I know exactly where I’d take them! We’d make Page’s Okra Grill our everyday breakfast spot! On Mondays we’d hang out at Barne’s & Noble or the library! We’d also go bowling at some point, I developed a thing for bowling in the recent months! I’d take them by Bar on the Ave on a Friday night where it’s always a nice vibe & great food! We’d also swing by Longhorns sometime throughout the week for dinner & probably Buffalo Wild Wings (for the dip particularly)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The one person who I want to give a shout-out to for helping me keep my dreams alive is my mom. She loves me but she loves me with force. She’s very stern always adamant about what she says/does, but she’s never led me wrong! Everything my mom has told me always came to past! In a generation where mom’s are now friends. I’m thankful to have a mom that plays her role as such! I believe that this plays a big part in who I am!
