We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie & Brandon DiPietro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie & Brandon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
When opening a business you are always aware of the risk you may be taking, but for those of us who have strong work ethics our success is a direct beneift of the risk we take. We took a huge leap when we went full time with our photography business and left our corporate jobs and we havent looked back since!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We have been full time wedding photographers for over 10 years! Four years ago we were provided with the oppurtunity to purchase one of our favorite wedding venues, The Duncan Estate, and since then we have turned it into an all-inclusive wedding venue! We bought the venue in the height of covid which was a challenge on its own but it was a blessing in disguise and it allowed us to make a lot of upgrades! Since then we have been blessed to be able to capture over 100 weddings every year and host roughly 40 a year at the venue! We are blossoming and perfecting our craft everyday to be even better for our couples!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
They would most definately stay with us at the Estate! Nothing beats waking up and sipping a fresh cup of coffee on the back porch overlooking the 4 acres of beautifull grounds that we are blessed to call our home! A good thing about the Estate is that we are a good central location to a lot of bigger cities that have some awesome touristy things to do such as, Asheville, Greenville, Spartanburg & Charlotte. We would for sure have to go to Downtown Greenville and visit falls park followed by an amazing dinner at Sophia’s in spartanburg, which is our favorite local italian resturant! We could take a day trip to Asheville and do a tour of the Biltmore Estate and all of the beautiful grounds! We always reccomend for anyone in town to go up to Pretty Place Chapel and take in the gorgeous sceneray and follow it up with hiking through all the trails around it!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We are extremely thankful to all of the amzing couples we have had the chance to capture during our 10+ years of doing this. They are a huge factor in our success! We rely on reccomendations from our past clients as well as other vendors we have worked with over the years! We pride ourselves in providing an amazing expierence and qulaity product, so our couples will continue to come back for all of their milestones as well as reffering us to capture their friends and families special moments!
