We had the good fortune of connecting with Kae Glass and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kae, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I had to!! I am a creative soul and I love to create. I may sing cover songs but I create a unique experience for my audience every time. I love to sing and stretch the boundaries of how a song should go. I have a good time mixing the techniques of different genres to give a unique performance that my audience will remember. I also love to write new music. I enjoy collaborating with other musicians to create something that no one has ever heard before. I sing in different languages and I enjoy that as well. A creative and artistic career is definitely the life I was made for.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe that the thing that sets me apart from other singers and even other songwriters is my technique. I have submerged myself in many genres of music and have pulled from each one to create a sound that uniquely fits my vocal strength. I have been singing since I was a little girl and the lessons that I have learned along the way I take with me. I have met many professionals in the business and I relish any wisdom that they have given me. I love sharing my gift and I want the world to know that I will share it with every single one who wants to hear. I will continue to challenge myself to be better and never stop learning and honing in on my craft. Music is my life!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I can say that there are so many places around town that I feel would be an awesome place to take a friend to hang out!! I love going to The Purple Buffalo for music and drinks!! The owner Dan D is always so welcoming to me it feels like a second home. I love performing there almost as much as I like just going there and hanging out. For a good meal and some wine, I love Uncork Charleston, It’s got great vibes and it is more of a spot to dress up and hang with my girls. I definitely love performing there but it is such a great spot that any one would feel welcomed. And then for some sweets I love Maccaro Charleston!! They have this “Croffle” that is the best thing I have ever tasted, but they also have other great desserts and bubble tea, and coffees!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely owe my story to God. He has been with me every step of the way. I have been through a lot in my life that I bring to the stage with me and embellish my performances with each time. I definitely know that without God I would have broke down from one of my many experiences in life. I am thankful that no matter what I go through, He has guided me through to triumph and over to victory.
