We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaden Lebsack and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaden, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was sort of two-fold, I wanted to start a business in the sport I love that could allow me to stay involved in the sport long after I am competing in it. Also, as the company grows, I want to be able to support the sport of ninja by sponsoring events around the world. We have been able to do this more this past year and hope to grow it in the future.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’d say what I’m most proud of is the fact I started Bucket of Chalk before I was even an adult. I was actually 13 when Bucket of Chalk was formed. I realize we have a long way to go but I’m ready for the challenge.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Due to the fact that most of my friends are ninjas, we would have to hit Ninja Intensity here in Castle Rock. It’s one of the top ninja warrior gyms in the US so we would have to hit it. Then I’m a huge dumpling fan so we would have to hit one of my favorite dumpling places. To end the fun maybe we could hit up a concert, how about Blink 182 or Green Day!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my business partners Max Feinberg and Max Salebra. Without the help of these two Bucket of Chalk would not be growing at the rate it is.
