We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Rhoads and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
As a stylist and busy mom of two, work/life balance has always been something I have had my fair share of challenges over the years as my boys have grown up theyre 12 and 9 now and what I have found is I try to do as much as I can today to help the me of tomorrow. Meaning if I have a huge pile of laundry laying there and I know tomorrow is really busy better believe I’m going to try my best to help myself out for tomorrow and get that done today. It sounds simple but it’s the little things that tend to overwhelm our days. I also try to make sure I make time to do things that feed my soul. We live in one of the most beautiful cities and I think we often forget the simple pleasures like a late afternoon at the beach after all of that “helping your tomorrow self out” to reward yourself! It’s ever changing but learn from today the best you can to make tomorrow a little easier, more successful and God willing a lot happier and more balanced!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I would say what sets my business apart would be how I love the community and my guests! I treat every guest like an old friend or family member and I choose to show as much kindness as possible while listening closely to the details of what their dream looks are for themselves! I try my best to bring to life my guest current highest/best version of themselves to life within a few hours and that’s not always easy or a light task but it’s always 1000% worth it! I have met some absolute amazing souls along my nearly 16 year journey as a stylist!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’re absolutely waking up early and heading for IOP! We’re renting chairs and an umbrella and bringing Starbucks and all the snacks you could need but also heading over to Coconut Joes for Shrimp and a frozen daiquiri before listening to the waves and laughter around us for hours!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate this to “Tiffany The Hair Goddess” for seeing something special in me and calling me back to my passion! May you rest in peace! Tiffany Washington
