We had the good fortune of connecting with Ineke’ Tolbert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ineke’, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my willingness to work hard and make sacrifices in order to achieve goals. In business you have to have thick skin and be able to endure low points. You will face setbacks along the way, but you must keep going until you reach your goal. This is done with a clear goal and a clear vision. Prayers is definitely part of business plan and a major foundation and guiding factor in moving forward.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own Renewed Elements Aesthetics & Wellness, a boutique medical Spa, in Taylors, SC. I offer aesthetics & wellness services ranging from Botox and fillers to IV vitamin hydration and Vitamin shots. We also offer skin care services such as customized facials and micro-needling, as well as body waxing services. Getting into the aesthetics industry was not easy. It takes a great deal of facial anatomy knowledge and skill along with proper training. It was just prior to Covid that I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this industry through a mutual friend and given the opportunity to train formally and on the job. What sets me apart from others is that i have a keen attention to detail as well as an artistic eye for facial balance and beauty restoration. My goal is to show people that they can get services like Botox and filler and still look natural. I strongly believe the most beautiful thing a person can wear is confidence and i love when I can help then achieve that. Part of my mission is to educate and therefore combat misconceptions that neurotoxins and fillers are unsafe or ineffective on darker skin. Many men and women of color feel that these services aren’t for them or aren’t offered by someone that looks like them that they can relate to, so I’m here to bridge the gap and show them how to be the best version of themselves.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my girl comes into town Friday night we are definitely going downtown to Halls Chophouse. Were going to ask for a seat by the bar so we can enjoy the live band. We will order some Lamb chops and bang bang shrimp and have a pomegranate martini while we wait for out food. Saturday nite we go to dinner at Sobys, then will hit up Juniper and get an igloo with our other friends. Sunday we will sleep in and we will do brunch at Tupelo Honey

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Id like to shoutout my family for their love, support, and encouragement. This journey started really small and has grown faster than i could have imagined. My family always supported the vision and helped spread the word of my small business. They don’t just talk about my services, they purchase and enjoy the services for themselves too.
