We had the good fortune of connecting with Gretchen Herrera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gretchen, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I believe that by teaching people how to heal themselves by wholistic means, they won’t be so reliant on the mainstream healthcare that just creates customers. The mainstream health network only treats symptoms of dis-ease, but never shows the patient how to help themselves, keeping them coming back for more as each side effect of the medications has to be handled with yet another medication. Western medicine has a lot to learn, and society is showing that.
Also, I am in the business of teaching others how to raise their vibrations, leading to great ripple effects across the world! As one person learns, and their frequency rises, they in turn help another raise theirs by simply being in their proximity. As more of humankind begins this, it will raise the entire planet!

What should our readers know about your business?
My journey in the world of healing began as a response to a deep personal pain. In 2017, my beloved mother succumbed to uterine cancer, and I embarked on a quest to discover if there was anything I could have done to save her. This period of profound spiritual crisis, often referred to as the ‘dark night of the soul,’ shook the very foundations of my beliefs. The anguish was so intense that at times, I wished to escape my own suffering by joining her in the urn.

My path toward healing and self-discovery commenced with Reiki Level 1. However, just as I was on the brink of progressing to Reiki Level 2, a dreadful accident left me confined with a knee-high cast, tethered to my computer screen, where I endlessly scrolled through distressing news. It was during this seemingly hopeless moment that fate intervened.

One day, an intriguing advertisement for a course called ‘Soul Speak’ by Julia Cannon caught my eye on social media. It seemed to hold the answers I had been seeking. ‘Soul Speak’ delves into the profound connection between bodily illnesses and their symbolic meanings, based on the affected body part’s function. Through this course, I came to understand that my mother’s cancer was rooted in the deep-seated rage she had harbored for years, a realization that left me with a profound sense of powerlessness.

This revelation propelled me further into the realm of healing, leading me to explore Quantum Touch healing and the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT). However, I am not your typical QHHT practitioner. I work in tandem with my spirit guides and angels to identify and address the underlying issues. Through this unique approach, I have been privileged to assist countless individuals on their healing journeys, offering them solace and transformation.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, without a doubt, one of my favorite Saturday morning rituals would be hitting up Soda City Market! It’s an absolute blast wandering through the diverse array of local vendors, sampling all the delicious cuisines on offer, and just soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Plus, you never know who you’ll run into – it’s always a hub of interesting people and conversations!

And speaking of enjoying the outdoors, a trip to Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens is an absolute must. It’s such a peaceful retreat, surrounded by lush botanical gardens and fascinating wildlife. And after a morning of exploration, I can’t resist grabbing a bite at Market on Main – their portabella ‘burger’ and truffle fries are to die for!

But let’s not forget about indulging our sweet tooth – a stop at Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli for one of their famous sticky cinnamon rolls is an absolute necessity. And to cap off our days, there’s nothing quite like a leisurely stroll across the Lake Murray dam, taking in the breathtaking sunset views. Honestly, there’s just no shortage of fun and memorable ways to spend time here in Columbia!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! I would love to thank Florence Scovel Shinn for her amazing book “The Game Of Life and How To Play It”. It set me down this amazing path that has changed me in so many wonderful ways! I would also love to thank my family for standing by me even though they may not understand me. They love me, accept me and support me, especially my husband Tony. I also would love to thank my friend Anna Garrison for telling you about me. I am blessed to have them ALL in my life!
