We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Krauze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Always staying consistent, reliable, and passionate. I’m aware that’s three, but it goes hand in hand… (in hand)
Clients want to know they can trust you, that you’re there, and not going to flake, cancel or disappear. They love to see you inspired, and enjoying being there too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hair is my art and canvas. Whether it’s a blonde, red, rainbows, anything under the sun. (Even hair cuts) Honestly, I’m most proud of never giving up. There’s times I made mistakes, times I doubted myself and not being good enough. Shoot, even to this day I criticize myself. But I don’t give up.
I got to where I am today by learning, educating myself, looking at what I did, seeing where I can improve, surrounding myself with like minded people, even people WAY better than me, so I can learn. And just never giving up. Taking moments when I needed them.
It’s never easy to be successful. It takes A LOT of time, consistency and practice. Even to this day, I’m still working at it, but it’s having that drive and always wanting to be better and improve. Just never give up.
Lessons I’ve learned, You will get to where you want to be, if you continue, and keep your focus where it needs to be. Don’t worry about the rest. It’s not a competition. Just keep improving you, and never compare yourself to others and their journeys.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I feel like downtown Greenville is ALWAYS a must. It’s so beautiful. I love walking around there, and taking people down to the falls to just relax and breathe.

I always recommend Society, off coffee street, if you want a cool vibe to just chill and enjoy life and others. Really cool vibe there to eat and drink.

A friend and I have been enjoying the alchemy club at coffee underground a lot too! It’s been fun to grab a coffee, and then go see the comedy show.

And my favorite place this past year has to be lake Robinson. I SO LOVE watching the sunset there. Such beautiful views. And going out kayaking…. I kinda want to keep it a secret!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh man. I have been so blessed with mentors, family, friends and such a huge support system. I always hear, “I don’t know how you do it.” “Who watches your kids when you’re gone?” Their dad.

Thanks John, for all the support, making life possible and easier. I don’t say it enough, but you do so much for me and our kids.. And I’m truly blessed because of you.
My little chickadees, you three are my inspiration, to see how excited you get for everything, it keeps me going to be better and improve more and more.
Finally, to all my friends, I’m blessed. Thank you for supporting, believing in me, always having an ear or a shoulder when I need it.
PulpRiot, thank you for believing in me, seeing me, investing in me and providing me so much opportunity to grow. I can’t show enough gratitude
