We had the good fortune of connecting with Eboni Joi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eboni, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance is important for people to maintain their physical and mental well-being. As an entrepreneur, this is a skill much needed and takes time and practice. I’m still working on this skill as it gets better and better but It’s essential to prioritize and balance work responsibilities with personal activities to avoid burnout and maintain a healthy lifestyle. People should create realistic schedules that allow them to excel at work and still have time for their personal lives. Unplugging from work and spending quality time with family and friends can help maintain a healthy work-life balance and is much needed for mental well-being.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is called Royal Quartz Cleaning Services and Clarity Care Clean Company. We are a cleaning business communications platform and operations. Royal Quartz is my first born and they are both near and dear to my heart, I built this business by learning skills from YouTube and investing much into cleaning learning platforms like Clean Biz Network where I purchased my first total cleaning kit and learned a lot about the sales (finding clients), pricing, and documentation. This is my bread and butter right now but as a community social and mental health activist, I recognized my clients who were in need of a different type of cleaning and that is where Clarity Care comes in (thanks to the Proverbs 31 pageant for blessing me with my Clarity Care LLC)This part of the business is being curated to support clients who need clarity of the mind, body, and soul in all 50 states. Lots of times our homes tell a bigger story about us than we are willing to and most of us aren’t willing to let anyone inside of our homes or our hearts. Clarity Care is a communications platform that will connect cleaners to clients to care for the home and the total person. All cleaners will be background-checked and interviewed, and some will be licensed therapists to help create clarity in the home and the mind. This has been an emotionally and motivationally trial era in my life, lots of times you feel alone and like no one will help or support your business when you are a new business. It especially takes a small emotional toll if you have invested so much of your limited resources to make it work. That is just not reality, you have a product and service that is needed, and you have support and a community of people waiting for you, you just have to pray and move, come up with ideas to promote and market yourself, research different businesses, and people in relation to your business and reach to them for your network and build awareness because most often, No one knows that your business exists unless you tell them. Success awaits us all, we just have to grab it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First of all, I have to say honestly that I am looking on Groupon to see what is fun and decently affordable. Lots of the fun and interesting outings’ that you would normally want to do are available on that site like bowling which we love to do pretty regularly, top golf, interactive cooking, art gatherings, and even delicious and exclusive restaurants. I also like to look on Eventbrite I want to infuse some fun & professional networking opportunities. Fun for me is relaxing but I also like to incorporate what I call productive fun from time to time i.e. networking events.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out Dr. Kenton Emmanuel Connor Senior pastor of Ebenezer The Hospital Church in Houston, Texas, and founder of The Proverbs 31 Beauty Pageant in which I am a proud contestant. This is a man after God’s own heart. I found the pageant opportunity posted on social media literally after praying for guidance and support. I was in a place in life where I couldn’t see my path clearly any longer but knew that it had to include entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and passion. I was doing things like starting businesses, coaching, and community organizing without truly understanding HOW and how to get the help, knowledge, and support that I needed to learn and grow. So as you can imagine after praying for support and then this interesting opportunity to register for a pageant for Only $50 and they GIVE you an LLC & a COACH specific to the business that you chose out of the over 150 options that they offer, pops up on my computer immediately after, I just knew it was God’s’ answer to me. This journey as a Proverbs 31 pageant contestant has taught me so much. The pageant’s focus is on the total woman becoming a virtuous woman. The prizes are amazing and all you pay to register is $50 but the most beautiful and pivotal difference about this system is that EVERYONE wins, all contestants will walk away a well-established business owner with an understanding of business specifics through assigned coaching and how to run it automatically. This is not just a pageant system, It is a lifestyle change system and I thank God for it. I thank God for the man behind the madness.
