We had the good fortune of connecting with Donovan Will and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donovan, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work-life balance” feels like a myth. I used to chase it, creating rigid schedules that left me burnt out. Now, I focus on alignment.

Here’s the key: Pursue goals in a way that nourishes you (physically, mentally, emotionally). This might mean saying no, delegating, or setting boundaries. It’s about a life that feels enriching, not one of compartments.

Imagine your life as a garden. Flowers need varying care. You tend to them all, but some days require more focus on work blooms, others on personal ones. Flexibility is key.

This shift allows you to create a balanced and fulfilling life, even if work and personal hours aren’t always equal. It’s about tending to your garden, not a rigid schedule.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My approach goes beyond running. I help you connect it to your life goals. We delve into your values, fears, and beliefs to craft a personalized plan that unlocks your full potential. Together, we’ll push past limitations and achieve more than you ever thought possible.

Building this practice wasn’t easy. It took my own journey of self-discovery, reigniting confidence, and understanding my worth. This experience allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level and empower them to shine in their own unique way.

I’m selective about who I coach because collaboration is key. I work with individuals who share my vision and are ready for my support. I’m not for everyone, but that’s okay. I’m here for those who are ready to take action and embrace the journey.

This journey? It’s not always smooth. There will be setbacks and stumbles. But that’s how we learn and grow. My own journey, filled with falls and forward movement, has allowed me to travel the world and develop this unique coaching style.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For starters we are going to be getting coffee from coastal coffee roasters inc, in Summerville followed by a light run at the Sawmill Trail. After working up an appetite, we’d go to bad daddy’s burger bar for great burgers and fries. In the evening, I’d take them to Downtown Charleston to catch the sunset by the pineapple before grabbing dinner at 167 Sushi bar. Lastly finding live music by walking down King street before calling it a night.
