Hi Devon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
As a bed and breakfast, the most important factor behind our success is undoubtedly our dedication to providing exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our guests. We believe that the key to success in our industry lies in the personalized attention and care we offer to every guest who walks through our doors.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The four owners include two married couples that have a total of nine children. The parent company is named after these nine children. As you can see, family is everything to us. Without the love and support of our spouses, siblings and children, this dream would not be possible. A huge shoutout to our family.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The perfect 3 day getaway in the upstate region of South Carolina would include fishing and boating on Lake Hartwell, Golf at the Walker course on Clemson University campus and dining and shopping in and around Pendleton South Carolina. Pendleton is one of the very few cities in the nation where the entire city is listed on the National Historic Society.

Day 1:

Morning:

Start your day with a serene fishing excursion on Lake Hartwell. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a novice, the lake offers plenty of opportunities to reel in a catch while soaking in the tranquil surroundings. Lake Hartwell is home to the Bass Masters’ tournament, the largest Bass fishing tournament in the nation. With over 950 miles of coastline, Lake Hartwell offers peaceful coves and calm waters to find tranquility in the sun.

Afternoon:

Head over to the Clemson Walker Golf Course for a round of golf amidst stunning natural beauty. The course’s meticulously manicured greens and challenging layout on the shores of Lake Hartwell provide an excellent setting for golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. Clemson Walker course is the home course for Clemson University which was ranked the top college course in the nation in 2020.

Evening:

Treat yourself to a sumptuous dinner at the renowned 1826 Restaurant. Indulge in a mouthwatering array of dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared to tantalize your taste buds. Owners Andrew and Justin are both from the Pendleton area and provide an atmosphere that makes you feel as though you are in the company of longtime friends.

Day 2:

Morning:

Wake up refreshed and ready to explore more of the area’s attractions after a peaceful nights sleep . Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Liberty Hall Bed and Breakfast before embarking on your day’s adventures.

Afternoon:

Make your way to the Swamp Fox Distillery for a unique rum tasting experience. Sample over 10 different rum recipes, all distilled on-site following a meticulous process and locally sourced ingredients.

Evening:

After your distillery tour, venture into downtown Pendleton for a leisurely stroll and some shopping. Explore charming boutiques such as Newtique Boutique, local art galleries, and antique shops, where you’ll find one-of-a-kind treasures to take home as souvenirs of your trip.

Day 3:

Morning:

Before heading home, spend your final morning exploring downtown Anderson. Discover quaint cafes such as The Common House, specialty shops, and local landmarks as you wander through this vibrant community.

Afternoon:

Reflect on your memorable getaway over a casual lunch at one of Anderson’s inviting eateries, including Earle Street Kitchen where you can savor the flavors of the region as you reminisce about your fishing adventures, rounds of golf, and culinary delights.
