We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, what matters most to you?
One of the values that matters most to me is joy. While I know that probably doesn’t make anyone’s standard list of important business principles I think it has a profound impact on a company culture and the experience a customer has. The reality is that, in most cases, there is someone out there that can do what we do; another words they have the same product or service offering. Weaving joy into every customer experience and team interaction sets us apart. It makes us a desirable place to work and it facilitates epic customer experiences. It also just makes life fun! It makes work fun! It makes serving the community and customers fun!

What should our readers know about your business?
There is nothing easy about running a business! I am proud that we have been able to infuse joy into home renovations and construction! Let’s face it, nobody wants to deal with contractors. The world is fraught with horror stories. But it just shouldn’t be that way. Renovations are fun! Building a home is fun! and we get ensure that our customers have an epic construction experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d have to take them into the mountains for sure! A couple days of hiking and waterfall exploring! Then back to downtown Greer where we’d hit up some live music at Blue Ridge Brewing. And no trip would be complete without a visit to Reedy Falls park and fabulous lunch at the Passarelle Bistro.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shout out to the book “Culture of Honor” by Danny Silk. Its actually a faith based book but it has profoundly shaped the way I do business and how I treat other people! It shed light on areas that had been the cause of significant struggles both personally and professionally. Operating with honor has such an incredible impact on business!
