We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Moskos, Pa-c and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cameron, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The key factor behind my success and that of my business is resilience. After moving to Charleston, SC, a city where startups and aspiring entrepreneurs are driven and determined, I knew I had to maintain my passion for being a business owner. Keeping my love for aesthetics at the forefront of my business has allowed me to remain resilient, regardless of the circumstances.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cameo Facial Aesthetics is a medical spa located in Mount Pleasant, SC. We offer a wide range of aesthetic services and have recently expanded our menu to include wellness services. Our atmosphere is cheerful and enjoyable while prioritizing patient safety and professionalism. I take great pride in leading and owning a Physician Assistant-led practice and find fulfillment in paving the way for others in my field. It’s rewarding to see fellow PA business owners thrive.
I began my career in obstetrics and gynecology but transitioned into aesthetics over a decade ago. Although the journey has had its challenges, I’ve always appreciated the hustle involved. I have learned to stand my ground, embrace my autonomy, and foster strong patient-provider relationships to maintain my ideal clientele.
One of the beautiful aspects of aesthetics is that it is not objective. I want Cameo Facial Aesthetics to be recognized as a place that helps you achieve both your aesthetic and wellness goals, allowing you to feel and look your best inside and out.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Charleston, the first place I would take her is downtown. We would start by having dinner at a restaurant like Sorelle or Le Farfalle. Hopefully, there would be a concert at Credit One Stadium, and we would head there to enjoy the live music. Our visit wouldn’t be complete without a couple of boat rides on Shem Creek. We would wrap up the week at Halls, sipping mimosas during their Gospel Brunch and finish the day shopping on King Street. Finally, I’d treat her to a few services at Cameo before she headed back home!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Daniel, and my daughter, McKenna. Their unwavering support fuels my passion. I also want to recognize the American Medical Spa Association. As a long-time member of the organization and a business owner, I witness firsthand their dedication to advocating for medical spa small business owners.
