We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryson Little and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryson, why did you pursue a creative career?
Growing up, I would not have considered myself a “creative” or “artistic” person what so ever. When I thought of art, all that came to mind was painting and drawing which I have zero talent in. I assumed this was a sign I was not meant to be a creative person and I was okay with that. Over the following years, my idea of creativity was broadened and I saw that art could be found in almost everything we surround ourselves with in the day to day. I fell in love with this idea of creating, specifically through videography. Capturing the stories of passionate people is the fuel to my love of creativity.

I pursued a career of creativity because I believe doing what you are passionate about will always win over doing what may be seen as the “normal” career path and staying in a place of comfort.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Over the past two years of doing videography full time, it has been a difficult challenge to find my personal style. With the power of social media we have the ability to be inspired my an infinite amount of styles and niches. This can be a wonderful thing, but also can cause an overwhelming battle of finding your voice in the creative world of videography. I have found that art can be seen so beautifully in the simplicity of every day life. This has been the biggest motivator in my current style. To many videographers do the bare minimum when It comes to capturing the stories of people. I have made it my passion to stand out in the realm of documenting real stories with creativity, beauty and intention.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently live in the North Georgia area and travel to South Carolina quite frequently for work, but when I’m there I enjoy the coast of Charleston and the architecture of down town. I am a sucker for a great coffee shop, and Second State Coffee never disappoints.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would have to say my wonderful girlfriend. Though she is always my biggest supporter, encouraging me through discouragement, sharing brilliant ideas and inspiration, she also is not afraid to tell me what I need to hear. I can often get stuck in the habit of dreaming big dreams but not taking steps forward, she is quick to remind and encourage me to take action in these ideas.

Second, I have to give credit to my friend and boss Ross Barnett. From when I first started working for his business, Two Fly Guys Media, nearly 2 years ago he saw creative abilities in me that I didn’t yet see in myself. He continued to challenge me with videography and editing tasks I thought would have been far out of my abilities at the time. This push out of my comfort zone grew me in my videography and business skill set. Having someone who believes in you and will push you past what you think is possible will truly motivate you towards success like nothing else.
