Hi Branford, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Otherside Fitness helps the Greenville Community become stronger, healthier, and happier versions of themselves.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Otherside Fitness is a business that specializes in strength training. What sets me apart from others is my mindset. There are two thoughts I ask my clients to hold on to during their fitness journey with me. 1) You are going to miss workouts, and that’s okay. You have to give yourself grace, because you aren’t perfect. 2) Sometimes you have to do the work anyway. It doesn’t matter what type of day you had, if you feel like it, etc. sometimes the work just has to get done. Keeping those two thought processes in constant tension makes all the difference for my clients.
I am mostly excited about the seeds that I sow into my clients and the business. I got to where I am at today by letting the Lord use me and working hard. Getting to this point in my business wasn’t easy. In fact, I am still a work in progress. I have learned that being successful isn’t about staying motivated, it’s about staying disciplined. If you truly love something, you want it to flourish, right? In order for things to grow there has to be a level of discipline.
A few lessons I have learned along the way are listed below.
– How you do anything is how you do everything
-Consistency is key.
– perseverance > perfection
– Keep God at the center of your business.
I want consumers to know that the Otherside Fitness brand is designed to meet you where you are at in your fitness journey.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start things out by hanging in downtown Greenville on Day 1. See falls park, see Unity park, coffee underground, and finish things off at Mellow Mushroom.
Day 2 we could be found hiking at Paris Mtn. That morning and relaxing in TR that afternoon. Breakfast at Stax Omega. Dinner at Monkey Wrench
Day 3 we would hang out in downtown Greer. lunch at the Wild Ace dessert at Fishers
Day 4 we would visit mauldin/Simpsionville. Ice cream station is a must. We would eat lunch/dinner at bridge way station
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am just being obedient and following His directions. Something that I like to say is “From God – Through Me – To You.”
