We had the good fortune of connecting with Art Houzze and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Art, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Courtney Bohman started Art Houzze in 2018. The idea was to take Greenville artist work into new cities. Create an Art event, partner with art enthusiast host and give back to their favorite charity in that city. The events served to showcase artists and give them a new audience. These art events were extremely successful but exhausting. This model has changed over the years, Kim Glenn joined as partner in 2021. Together they ventured into a new business direction as art curators helping to bridge the communication and creation gap between our clients and artist. Our goal is to make every project turn key an simple, that includes handling everything from the ideation, artist selection, logistics down to the installation.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Kim Glenn most of her business career was spent as an account manager for a primary manufacturer of Cover Girl cosmetics, a Procter & Gamble brand.
Upon moving to Greenville, Kim began collecting art with her husband focusing on local Greenville artists. Her passion for art has led her to working with Art Houzze. Her business sense has contributed to development and growth of promoting and curating art in Greenville.
Together we have grown Art Houzze by consistently creating new business opportunities that challenges our comfort zone. Whether its taking on a project for a community mural and spending time with city council, creating an inviting space for multi million dollar () camperdown or even creating at AR experience through art to tell the story of a small town in Georgia. We test ourselves by exploring global art platforms like Art Basel, trade shows to help connect us with new prospects to collaborate with.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
start the day with a leisurely brunch at one of Greenville’s charming cafes, such as Tandem, Creperie & Coffeehouse or Southern Pressed Juicery. in the Afternoon explore downtown Greenville on foot. Spend the afternoon shopping and exploring Greenville’s unique boutiques and speciality stores in the West End or along Main Street. Bike along the swamp rabbit Trail and visit the Commons and Swamp Rabbit cafe. Visit some of Greenville’s art galleries and tour the west end area. During the evening enjoy a delicious meal and on of our favorites Rick Erwin’s on the west end. After dinner, head to one of the trendy cocktail bars or wine lounges for drinks and lively conversation. .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We had the opportunity to work Sean Hartness owner of Hotel Hartness in Greenville SC. We deeply appreciate the effort, support and mentorship provided by his team throughout this process. He and his wife Courtney Hartness commitment to fostering creativity and innovation has truly empowered us to showcase our talents and bring our vision to life. We are incredibly proud of the final result and believe that the art we have curated will enhance the guest experience and contribute to the unique charm and character of the Hotel Hartness.
