We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Romanelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy is when I am able to make another person’s day better. I have noticed in my life that whenever I am able to cheer someone up, it makes me happy and smile.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been lucky to learn business through my work at UNITS Moving and Portable Storage. With the skills that I have acquired working there, I have been able to transition into the Pet Sitting Business. The biggest challenge that I have faced so far in this transition is being able to let others do a task that was assigned to them. As a Manager for Fetch! Pet Care, one thing that I thought was easy to handle was being able to clearly communicate with a client, something I know very well with working as a customer service representative at TJ Maxx and UNITS Moving and Portable Storage. The way that I am today was not easy, it was a long journey, and I am still figuring out details every single day. I started working at Lowes Home Improvement, while also working part time at TJ Maxx as a sales associate. I then quit and went full time at TJ Maxx. I learned valuable skills that helped me transition into the job title that I have now. Starting up Fetch! Pet Care as a franchise manager, I would like the world to know that I have enjoyed being able to work with clients and their pets. I’ve learned that if you keep your pets healthy and you take care of them, they will take care of you in return. I say to myself, if you have a healthy dog, you have a happy and healthy life. I do understand that people’s lives do get busy, and it can be hard to take care of those little furry friends. One of my goals in life is to be able to help animals in any way possible. Dogs and Cats can’t take care of themselves, and it is up to us to provide for them. I am excited and looking forward to being able to work with pets more closely now more than ever.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently have enjoyed going to the Bohemian Lodge which is located on Reedy River in downtown Greenville South Carolina. I also enjoy getting food and drinks with friends at Gather Greenville. Another exciting place that i have enjoyed going to is the open stage that downtown Greenville has. Every season especially in the summer, they have a concerts and festivals playing that is free to attend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Gerry Romanelli, has been a big role model for me in the past two years of my life. He has supported me through every tough choice I have made in my life. For many years I was lost, had no idea what I wanted to do in life. Only when I chose to focus on myself, and my wellbeing is when I focused my energy in improving my overall character.
