We had the good fortune of connecting with Alores Norris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alores, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is consistency. You have to be consistent in every way possible when it comes down to your business, and with my brand and business I am always consistent.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My story starts in Schweinfurt, Germany when I was home alone with 2 kids and a deployed husband. I needed something to do that would relax me and keep my mind off the stress of being a mom and being in a foreign country alone and makeup did that for me. Little did I know it would not only be my outlet for my stress it would also change my life. I went from doing my own makeup in my living room at night to relax to being on red carpets, on set for FOX shows, being the key makeup artist for multiple movies, working on an NFL commercial, and also being featured on a show called The Spark that was geared towards my brand and my talent. Was it easy?? Absolutely not, but it was worth it. There were trials and tribulations I had to overcome but I never allowed myself to quit. I never allowed those trials and tribulations stop me from doing what I was made to do. I believed in myself to deeply to call it quits when I got a NO or when a door closed. My belief in ME is what kept me going.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting I would definitely check the Peace Center and see what shows they have that weekend so we could catch an amazing live show. Head to the Jazz Club for amazing music and dinner & we have to have brunch at City Scape winery to top of the entire visit!
