We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Paderewski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
Be a part of something greater than myself. Create great stories that will emotionally impact the audience…films that will always be remembered. Walking up to the podium in front of millions of people and accepting an award for my hard work and dedication in the Memory of my Mom.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an actor’s director, I find that the communication between the actor and myself is very grounded and we have a common understanding of what to bring to the scene. I am most proud of the friendships I have gained along the way and the talented people I have been fortunate to work with. Getting to where I am has not been easy. Everyone’s journey is different. I have learned that you need to climb the mountain one step at a time and keep moving forward.
My brand as an actor is outdoorsman type. As a director, I bring grit and heartfelt emotion to the audience.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For my friends, I would first start out with a drive down historic highway 61 to Middleton Place for a tour. After the tour we would drive to Edisto Beach and have lunch at the Sea Cow, then enjoy the beach for a few hours. Then we would drive to downtown Charleston for and early dinner at Magnolia’s. After dinner I would take my friends to a play at the historic Dock Street Theatre.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thanks to the support of close actor friends, crew and creative people that I’ve worked with along the way. My entire family for their support. My Mother’s words to “Never give up on what you’re meant to do in life.” My agents, acting coaches and my directing instructors.
