We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Simpson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
One of the most common pieces of advice entrepreneurs hear is that success comes from “finding balance.” You’re told to juggle work, life, and everything in between with equal attention, as if balance is the key to achieving it all.
But here’s the thing: I disagree.
Balance suggests a perfectly even distribution, where everything gets the same amount of focus and energy. That’s not only unrealistic -> it’s unsustainable. Instead of chasing balance, I believe in pursuing alignment.
Alignment means intentionally pouring your energy into what matters most in the moment—what aligns with your values, goals, and purpose. Sometimes that’s leaning into the masculine: structure, strategy, and taking decisive action. Other times, it’s embracing the feminine: rest, creativity, and intuitive flow.
Here’s what that might look like:
Masculine energy: Setting up clear systems, creating a launch plan, or scheduling your week with precision.
Feminine energy: Giving yourself space to dream big, allowing room for spontaneous inspiration, or stepping away to recharge and reconnect.
The sweet spot isn’t about dividing your time equally—it’s about knowing when to lean into each side to move forward with both clarity and ease.
When you stop chasing balance and focus on alignment, your work feels more purposeful, your energy flows where it’s needed, and your results speak for themselves.
The goal isn’t balance: it’s alignment with what you’ve been called to do. That’s where the sustainable results and an overflow of energy happens.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My journey as an entrepreneur spans over a decade, with a personal brand rooted in unapologetic authenticity. This clarity has been my greatest asset, allowing me to pivot, evolve, and launch new businesses seamlessly. It hasn’t been without challenges, but I’ve embraced them, viewing failures as opportunities to refine and better serve my community.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Trust God as the CEO. Seasons where I surrendered my business to His guidance have been the most fruitful, reminding me that His plans far exceed my own.
Through UNTAMED University, The Embodied Woman Podcast, She Leads, and The ANOINTED Ones Mastermind, I’ve created spaces where women can step into their God-given assignments with clarity, confidence, and support. By shedding fear, overwhelm, and limiting beliefs, you can thrive in purpose. The power of community and high-level mentorship transforms your journey, providing the accountability needed to scale your impact and build a business deeply aligned with your calling.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Charleston, I’d make sure it was the perfect mix of relaxation, exploration, and incredible food. We’d start the day with a peaceful stroll by the water, followed by fresh, flavorful seafood and a stop at a cozy coffee spot for a latte and something sweet. Afternoons would be spent soaking up the sun at the beach, letting the waves reset everything. Evenings would be all about hearty Southern dishes and a little adventure downtown to soak in the charm, history, and good vibes this city offers.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to God first. Every step of my journey, every breakthrough, and every opportunity has been because of His grace and guidance. He’s my anchor, reminding me to trust Him fully, stay obedient, and boldly step into the calling He’s placed on my life.
I also have to give major credit to my husband. My biggest supporter in every way. His unwavering love, encouragement, and belief in me are constant reminders of God’s provision and faithfulness.
And when it comes to books, nothing compares to the Bible. In this season of my life, and every season moving forward. It’s my ultimate guide. As a driven, stepping fully into my assignment daily, entrepreneur, it provides wisdom, clarity, and the kind of truth you can’t find anywhere else. It reminds me to seek Him first in every decision, to lead with integrity, and to steward what He’s entrusted to me with faith and purpose.
