We had the good fortune of connecting with Grae Turner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Grae, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ruby Grae’s Boutique was established right at the start of COVID. I have always wanted to own a boutique for women who love unique and fun pieces to wear. The Lord told me it was time and I haven’t looked back. I feel like I’m shopping for myself and get to share with so many women.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think that what sets me apart from others is that when women shop with me they feel like they are shopping with a close friend. Customers are welcome to message me anytime with questions on sizing and etc. I want to make sure they Love what they purchase. I’m so proud of how Ruby Grae’s has grown in 4 short years. I have been blown away by the constant support of my customers and I’m so thankful. Oh my goodness it was so HARD taking the first steps to start this business but one of my life mottos is “We can do HARD things”. Hard work has definitely paid off and I’m so proud of our little business. Many lessons have been learned and still learning. All businesses have ups and downs and you learn so much through each stage.
I would love for everyone to know that when they are shopping with me they are not just purchasing a piece of clothing or jewelry. Every customer that places an order is prayed for and I want women to feel beautiful in what they are buying, whether its for the first time or the first time in a long time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the city I live in- Greenville, SC. Our downtown area is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. I would definitely take in some restaurants and walk our beautiful downtown area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband is my constant cheerleader and he sees the potential that I sometime can’t see. If it wasn’t for him, I couldn’t run Ruby Grae’s. He is my Lead set up person, website creator and so many other things. He’s always in the background and never asks for recognition for his hard work. I’m so blessed to have him alongside with me on this business journey.
