We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Richards and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“You don’t have to be the best- you just have to do your best.” I like it because it’s realistic, no matter who you are. We’re always our own worst critic, but this allows a measure grace for oneself.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Building relationships with the people who do business with me has been huge. I love that I get to work with great people who are excited to recommend my business to others who are needing photography and video solutions.
I believe that customer service stands above all else. It’s true, issues will arise with anybody that you choose to work with. The difference lies in how those issues are resolved. I am most proud of the way I have sought to find solutions for the people who do business with me.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is “People First”. It can be easy to become overly task oriented. However, I strive to maintain that connections with the people I work with and serve are most important.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Falls Park in Greenville is an absolute must! Followed by Unity Park. For drinks, we’d make our way down to Easley to The Silos. And for food, you can’t beat the wings at Steddy’s – also in Easley.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A myriad of friends who have given practical, as well as moral support over the years. I try to accept and maintain that anyone in any room I enter has a lesson I can learn from. The photographer who developed my interest in this craft suggested some great advice to me: “For every one piece of education you take in about your art or craft, take in two pieces about business.” This has helped me keep balance as an entrepreneur.
