Hi Yas, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of All Barking Bliss is our unwavering commitment to consistency and the genuine love we have for every dog in our care. We ensure that each dog experiences a stable, nurturing environment, and we treat them with the same affection and attention we would give our own pets. This dedication fosters trust and loyalty among our clients, setting us apart in the dog boarding industry.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Yas aka Mr. Bliss, and I am the proud owner of Barking Bliss, black owned and operated dog boarding and daycare service in Orange County, renowned for our unwavering commitment to consistency and genuine love for every dog in our care. What sets us apart is our dedication to putting our clients and their pets’ happiness first. I’m proud of the strong bonds we form with both the dogs and their owners, fostering a trusted community.

The journey to where we are today was far from easy. Over the past year and a half, I’ve worked tirelessly without a single day off, often putting in 13+ hour days. During this time, I also ran 11 half marathons and a full marathon, built a YouTube channel with over 4,000 subscribers, and celebrated my 5-year sobriety mark. These accomplishments are a testament to the power of faith and perseverance.

The challenges were immense, but I overcame them through sheer determination and the unwavering support of Jesus Christ. The lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of consistency, hard work, and staying true to one’s beliefs. I want the world to know that no matter how tough the road may seem, with faith and dedication, anything is possible. My story is a testament to the transformative power of love, consistency, and the grace of God.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Currently, my primary focus is on reconnecting and staying in touch with my family back in Minnesota, as it was incredibly hard on them when I was homeless for two years. I’m dedicated to growing my business, my YouTube channel, and my faith, and being able to retire my mom back in Minnesota, who sacrificed so much for me growing up and found it hard to watch me go through addiction and homelessness. I genuinely believe God has given me a second chance at life, and for the first time, I’m genuinely focused on doing something for myself. So, unfortunately, I’m not making time to prioritize hanging out with friends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am profoundly grateful to Jesus Christ for transforming my life. He rescued me from the depths of alcohol addiction and homelessness in the streets of California, guiding me towards a path of hope and renewal. Through His grace, I was able to start Barking Bliss, which has grown into one of the best dog boarding and daycare facilities in Orange County. His unwavering support and love have been the cornerstone of my journey and success.
