We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Touchet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?

I believe so many people rely on talent or education to pave the way for success. I’m mostly self-taught through trial and error. I don’t consider myself highly intelligent or particularly gifted. I’m willing to outwork others. I no longer let my fears or shortcomings hold me back. What has truly given me this opportunity is the fact that I have more passion and obsession for my industry in my pinky finger than most people could ever imagine having about any career. I’m in love with staffing and problem-solving.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my recruiting career in March 2015 as an entry-level recruiter who had never even heard of staffing agencies. I advanced to a senior recruiter role within my first few years and then I was recruited for an opportunity with a new position as a project manager for over 900 manufacturing employees during the pandemic. In 2021, I accepted a vice president role that led to starting my own agency August 1st of 2023. I know that each role gave me a crucial perspective. I believe that I am uniquely qualified to help others because of the wealth of knowledge I’ve gathered from each year in this crazy, fun, and frustrating staffing industry.

I carefully chose our company name because I needed it to send a clear message.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a foodie so I always start with my top 3 restaurants when I have guests in town

Coral (for my fresh seafood fix), Pomegranate on main because of the unique experience it offers, and Maestro bistro and dinner club because I adore the staff and enjoy the wide variety of high-quality food.

I typically will take them to the local farmers market and to see falls park downtown but depending on the time of year, we may drive up to the mountains as well.

The cook station has super fun cooking classes. They will get dragged to several networking events with me. Oh, and we will most certainly go to the gym together (shout out to TriFit Barbell in Mauldin & Crunch Fitness).

Greenville SC really is a fun town with all kinds of events going on that change seasonally.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Rebekah Mintz (Director of Recruiting Operations at R&R Resolute Staffing).

Rebekah is not only my best friend and business partner, but she’s like a sister to me. I could not do what I do without her here. We are opposites. I am considered the hammer and she the heart. Most clients would much rather hear from her than me! She is one of the few people in this world I trust completely, she has a key to my home, has been handed my credit card many times, and knows me fully, personally and professionally. She has had my back from the day we met and she has worked endlessly to support me throughout opening the business. There is no way to buy the kind of loyalty she has to me. It has to be earned. When I’m beaten down and in the trenches, she always comes to join me and has many times cried for me while I cried on her shoulder. She chose to see the best in me and believe in me. So much so, that she took a line of credit against her house so we could get an office space. Her doing that has brought out some 18-hour work days in me because one thing I won’t do is allow her to lose her house. By betting on me, she ensured that I would be giving it everything I have in me, till that line of credit is repaid in full.
