We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Flood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, how dphoes your business help the community?
Every couple has a story to tell and my job as a wedding filmmaker is to provide a comprehensive view into the couples love so they can relive their special moment forever and share it with the world. A couples wedding/elopement is more than just a day of celebration; it is a capstone of a relationship filled with ups and downs and I take great pride in telling their whole story.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My style of filmmaking is both documentarian and cinematic. I strive to provide my clients with an intimate approach to keying in on the subtle moments that are unique to each couple through their vows and story session moments while also intertwining a cinematic value through epic music and beautiful cinematography.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Greenville County has so many cool places. From the downtown restaurants and bistros to the amazing breweries Greenville has so much to offer. There are also so many great parks to enjoy a workout or a leisure stroll. My personal favorite restaurants in the Greenville area are Halls Chophouse, Brick Tops, Fork and Plough and Jianna. My favorite brewery is Eighth State Brewery.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The inspiration I have received from filmmakers like Stanton Giles with FilmsbyStanton really propelled me into who I am today and who I aim to become as a wedding filmmaker. Learning from others better than me is a key to my success and I always strive for improvement.
