Hi Liz, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It all began with a personal journey towards healthier skin. For years, I struggled to find skincare products that addressed my specific concerns. Many off-the-shelf options were loaded with harsh chemicals that irritated my skin, while others felt generic and offered minimal results. This frustration fueled a desire to create a skincare line that prioritized both efficacy and natural ingredients. I envisioned a brand that was transparent about its ingredients and their benefits, ensuring that customers could make informed choices for their skin. Furthermore, I wanted to develop a product range that catered to a wider spectrum of skin types and concerns, from dryness and sensitivity to acne and dark spots. My vision was to provide effective solutions that weren’t a one-size-fits-all approach. Witnessing the transformative results of these products on my own skin and the positive impact they’ve had on my family solidified my decision to turn this passion project into a thriving business. It’s incredibly rewarding to empower thousands of people to achieve healthier, happier skin through clean, natural ingredients and personalized solutions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Let me tell you, starting this skincare line was a journey! I, like many beauty enthusiasts, got tired of products that promised the moon and delivered…well, let’s just say less than stellar results. So, I decided to whip up my own concoctions in the kitchen (think glamorous scientist, not science experiment gone wrong!). The results were amazing, and my family became my willing guinea pigs (with fantastic skin, I might add!).

The ‘aha’ moment came when I realized there may be others out there that’s craving effective, natural skincare.. That’s how Paschal Beauty was born!

Building a business from the ground up is no walk in the park, but the challenges only fueled my passion. Learning the ropes of marketing, navigating regulations, and keeping up with ever-evolving trends – it’s been a whirlwind! But every hurdle overcome has been a major victory and that’s what sets Paschal Beauty apart from others. Knowing that even though challenges may arise, it’s all about picking yourself up and getting through those challenges.

The biggest lesson? Skincare should be fun, not fear-inducing! That’s why we prioritize transparency, high-quality ingredients you can actually pronounce, and of course, results you can see in the mirror (and the compliments you get!).

We want the world to know that Paschal Beauty is about embracing your unique glow, rocking the skin you’re in, and having a little fun along the way. So, ditch the complicated routines and harsh chemicals – healthy, happy skin is just a few clicks away!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a truly unforgettable Beaufort experience, we’d embark on a historical adventure! This town’s past is like a captivating novel, waiting to be unraveled. Imagine exploring museums filled with fascinating artifacts, delving into your family tree with a genealogy society, or joining a captivating walking tour that brings history to life. Don’t forget the libraries – treasure troves of knowledge just waiting to be unearthed!

But Beaufort’s story wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the vibrant Gullah culture. It’s a cornerstone of our community, with a rich tapestry of traditions, music, and, of course, incredible food! Speaking of food, we couldn’t resist starting the day with a delicious breakfast at Red Rooster Cafe or First Watch. For lunch or dinner, the debate would be fierce – Fish Camp’s fresh catch is legendary and their waterfront views are beautiful, while Dockside offers stunning waterfront views to go with its amazing seafood. Tough decisions, right?!”

Launching this business has been a true team effort! First and foremost, I would like to thank God for answering my heart’s desire. A huge shoutout to my husband Reese, who’s been my biggest supporter since day one. My brother Jaey deserves major props for giving me that little push I needed to believe in myself. And of course, endless thanks to my amazing mom, my rock, and my mentor Roderica, the mastermind behind Iye Tasti. Having this incredible support system around me has absolutely been key to unlocking my potential and taking the leap.
