We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brenda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Excitement, full of doubts, nervousness. I am still re-considering if my business is the right thing for me. It nust makes me happy the fact that people limes my product.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am returning LAPD officer. I got hurt on duty and I wasn’t doing well knowing that I had probably to retired due to my injuries. I wanted to go to Law School but I decided to Get mt MS in Counseling in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.. Once I graduated we decided to move to beautiful South Carolina. I decided to go back to work and I started at the Department of Juvenile Division/ Juvenile Detention Center.. I always loved perfumes, creams and lotions. One day while working at the jail one of the kids skin was dried so I thought of making something natural to help his skin. I started my small research and I made a body butter with mango and lavender butter. That is how Pampas started. Making others feel good is my passion. Helping others from the inside and outside is what I love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I want to drive through the streets and get lost where all the trees are. Love seeing nature!! Then we go by the lake, get coffee FIRST. Later, probably have a drink late at the Chop House, or Tavern on 6. I take them to antique shops and there is always something new to discover. I only been here two and a half years so there is always somethng new to see.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Foremost God and my kids. Without God I cannot explain the energy that sometimes I have to complete the large orders. My kids that are the reason I never give up. My friends that were my first customers and still love my products. And a big shoutout to the stores that carry my products, Lotus in Chapin, Ego Boost, TenFold in Lexington, Sothern Styles in Little Mountain and Placidity Spa. They are not only amazing professionals at what they do but they are amazing people..
