Meet Leshara Holmes | Salon Owner & Cosmetologist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leshara Holmes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leshara, why did you pursue a creative career?
My career is all about being authentic and creative! I love making people feel and look great. Being a cosmetologist allows me to express different creativity amongst each client. I chose to pursue such a creative career due to being able to serve everyone experiencing different hair and skin types. It’s such an evolving career that I get to learn about different hair and skin types. Doing so allows me to improve my skills as well!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
SALON 314 is dedicated to providing a pleasurable salon experience to clients. We offer services such as cuts, color, styling, brow tinting,facial waxing, loc retwisting, bridal services, makeup & more making clients feel and look great. We strive to ensure customer satisfaction! I’m most proud of being able to satisfy such a wide range of clientele. It was definitely not easy. I overcame my challenges by not losing faith in what I do and kept going regardless who supported me or not. I put a lot of time and money into my business so it only make sense to keep striving. I learned a few lessons along the way. One of the biggest is that everyone isn’t for your brand and that is ok. You just continue to do your best on whomever you’re at the time. Give them your all. I just want the world to know that I am very passionate about what I do, I love making people feel and look great and that I aim to be on of the best diversed salons on the grand strand!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being that I’m from the area, there is a lot you can do especially being it’s a tourist city. One of my recommendations would be to visit Broadway for the local attractions, fun and food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is my family I would like to dedicate my shoutout to. I have two beautiful girls and nothing motivates me more than providing for them and doing the best that I possibly can to make them proud. I always tell me oldest that I want her to be better than me. I always express that so she can be even more determined and motivated to reach her dreams and goals.
