We had the good fortune of connecting with Colden Blades and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Colden, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I don’t believe in work/life balance. The way I see it, a “balanced” life is a life absent of priorities.

Rather than focusing energy on finding “balance” I operate in extremes. I either commit to something or I don’t.

Additionally, I don’t see the benefit in pursuing that which is never truly attainable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the Founder of Blades Marketing a Digital Marketing Agency as well as The Underground Kings Club a private mens membership club.

Running a business isn’t easy, but for men like myself it sure as hell beats the alternative.

At Blades Marketing we help businesses to grow their brand on social media by creating engaging content and managing their social media presence in an effort to maximize the long-term effectiveness of the content we produce. We not only offer social media marketing services, but an entire suite of digital marketing services such as website design, graphic design, as well as have a fully equipped podcast studio which can be booked for any creators or business owners looking to launch/scale a podcast.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It wouldn’t take much digging to know I enjoy working out, smoking cigars, shooting guns, and simply spending time in the outdoors. So something along those lines would more than likely be how I would spend my time with a friend of mine visiting the area.

I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a good cigar to go to White Ash Cigar Lounge in either Myrtle Beach or Carolina Forest. If you are looking for a great shooting range Echo 6 Shooting Range. For a bite to eat I would highly recommend Zardin in Market Common. If you wanted to get a workout in I would highly recommend Next Level Mobility in Murrells Inlet, they have day passes available for those visiting.

Ethan Felts (Founder of Felts Films) has played a pivotal role in growing Blades Marketing, The Underground Kings Club, as well as my personal brand through his extensive knowledge in content creation (video, photo, etc.) and storytelling. Ethan has since become a partner for my Digital Marketing Agency as well as an official Member of The Underground Kings Club.
