We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I view taking risks as an essential part of elevation. In my esthetician career, embracing those risks, like introducing new services or exploring new products, has been the key factor in expanding my skills and clientele. It’s about balancing and calculating moves with the potential for growth and learning from each experience. When I started my career, I was just a makeup artist, I took a risk of going to school to see if I could expand my skill set, and I found out I am actually good at being an esthetician. Now I get to do what i love every single day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I service a client, what I look forward to the most is that smile on their faces when I hand over the mirror. I’m not in this just for the money, and the proof is in my work. I strive to be exceptional in everything I do. I believe this is what sets me apart from others. I am honestly proud of how far I have come. I decided one day that I wanted to do makeup. Having no idea how to apply it on myself, let alone to others. Starting from scratch, I invested in the proper education it took to learn this skill. It was not easy, I found myself wanting to give up after I failed over and over again. I never stopped pushing, wanted it so bad. Not giving up is how I overcame the feeling of not being good enough. Making mistakes along the way is the best thing that could have happened to me. Being able to learn from my mistakes has gotten me to where I am today. I want the world to know that my brand is more than just a product or service, it’s a journey. My story is rooted in passion, authenticity, and a commitment to making a positive impact and adding value to my clients life.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to recognize my wonderful husband Brock Foster for always being there to support my crazy business ideas and thoughts. There was never a time where he didn’t offer his advice and encouragement when I needed it the most. Starting a business for me has truly been a rollercoaster, but he has been right there holding my hand through it all.
