We had the good fortune of connecting with Fátima M and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fátima, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Since a young age, I always knew I wanted to be a business owner. Both my parents own businesses and I knew that was something I wanted to experience myself. Even while I was in school obtaining my degrees, I had various side hustles ranging from working with brands on social media, a merchandise store selling nursing inspired lifestyle items, and even a book that I published. I came up with the idea of a medical spa after feeling burned out working in the nursing field. I knew I wanted to be able to create something with my nursing education, and I always had a love for wellness and preventative health. I started my own business to be able to have a healthy work-life balance and to be able to have more freedom with my time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
RevitaLux is a medical spa focusing on wellness and vitamin therapy. IV hydration provides essential nutrients and vitamins to the body and can help with an array of symptoms and health conditions. What sets us apart from others is that we are more than just an IV hydration clinic. We work together with our clients to ensure they reach their wellness goals through vitamin therapy. All of our clients are assessed by a nurse practitioner to ensure they are choosing the proper vitamins and nutrients that will work best with their specific goals. We also schedule all our appointments on a one-on-one basis, unlike other IV hydration lounges. This ensures that the entire visit is individualized. I am most proud of the growth and loyalty of our clientele. Our clients have expressed how much they trust our team and how effective our treatments are. We have gotten to where we are today by delivering high quality consistent results, educating our clients on their health & wellness so that they can feel empowered to take control of their health, and by providing exceptional customer service. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is that consistency is key for growth. It takes great dedication and hard work to maintain a high quality business.

There are things that only nurses understand, and things that only business owners understand, so it’s important to surround yourself with like-minded individuals that you can lean on for support, encouragement, and understanding. I am grateful to be surrounded by constant love and support, and it keeps me going during the difficult times that can arise while being an entrepreneur.
