We had the good fortune of connecting with Slagle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Slagle, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think about risk being good and bad. It’s important to take risks but I try to be as calculated as possible before taking a risk. I believe in creativity over certainty. If I can be creative and add value to something I’m gonna thrive. If I follow certainty like take the easy job or easy path , I know I’m gonna be bored and not have much want to be productive. Taking risks have played a developmental role in learning how to navigate my business, for ex. Trying a new marketing strategy. There’s no guarantee it’ll work. With the right preparation the odds may be higher of it happening. If it doesn’t work , you learn what not to do next time .

What sets me apart from others with my art is how unique and original it is. I follow my own vision. Getting to where I am today was definitely a long hard path but looking back every step has been worth the journey ! Im most proud of having the courage to put my story out there , believing in myself , telling myself every day , this is gonna work. I over come the challenges by critical thinking the hurdles im facing . How to over come them before I get to them and how to respond better each time. If you respond the same way to the same thing you’ll never get different results . If you try to improve each time you will get better . I want the world to know it’s ok to go through things . It’s all about how we bounce back. It’s about getting back up, not giving up . You only fail if you don’t learn from the mistakes.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So when my best friend comes to town we would probably go to the 27 Club , which is a coffee spot in Downtown Cleveland. The drinks their are great and the vibe is always nice. It’s always fun to go to Tower City and check everything out . If the Cavs are playing you might be able to get cheap seats . There’s nothing like the energy in Cleveland. If you’re out at the clubs in Cleveland you may run into a man named Super Pimp ! (if you know , you know) . He’s a Cleveland Legend ! In Lorain , we have a Castle like Structure on the beach that is a Spanish restaurant and it’s amazing. The view with the lake is tremendous on a nice
